I just got a strange email from a prospective buyer. What should I do?
Do not provide any further personal identification information! Unfortunately, the contact information that you provide to prospective buyers is also available to third parties with less honest intentions. Don't worry, your credit card information was encrypted when it was submitted, so it is safe. USPC cannot prevent people with less honest intentions, however, if an offer seems strange or too good to be true, then it probably is. For instance, no one wants to pay more for your horse or pony than what you have it listed for. Please contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) to alert federal authorities of this type of activity.
